Embossing
Embossing, also known as relief stamping in Czech, is a printing technique that creates a raised design on the surface of a material, in this case, a silicone wristband. It is the opposite process of debossing, which creates a recessed design.
Embossing is done using a die, which presses the material into a raised shape. The die can be made from various materials, such as metal, plastic, or rubber. The design of the die can be simple text, a logo, or a more complex pattern.
Embossing has several advantages over debossing:
- Lower Cost: Embossing dies are cheaper than debossing dies.
- Simpler Process: The embossing process is simpler and less time-consuming than the debossing process.
- Speed: Embossing allows for faster production of wristbands.
Disadvantages of Embossing:
- Lower Durability: Embossing is less durable against wear and scratches compared to debossing.
- Less Readable: The embossed design may be less readable and tactile than the debossed design.
- Appearance: Embossing may give the wristband a less elegant and sophisticated appearance.
Examples of Embossing on Silicone Wristbands:
- Wristband with an animal design
- Wristband with a floral pattern
- Wristband with a company logo
