DTF printing

DTF printing (Direct to Film) is a modern textile printing technology that combines digital printing with a transfer method. This process involves several key steps:

  1. Design printing: The design is first printed on a special PET film using DTF inks (CMYK + white).
  2. Powder application: A special polyurethane powder, which serves as an adhesive, is applied to the printed design.
  3. Curing: The powder is heat-activated, creating a transfer film.
  4. Transfer: The design is transferred onto the textile using a heat press.

Advantages of DTF Printing

  • Versatility: Can be applied to various materials including cotton, polyester, nylon, and blends.
  • Print quality: Provides highly detailed and color-accurate prints.
  • Durability: Prints are resistant to washing and wear.
  • Flexibility: Suitable for both small and large orders.
  • Eco-friendliness: Uses environmentally friendly inks.

Applications

DTF printing is ideal for printing on t-shirts, bags, caps, and other textile products. It is suitable for both individual pieces and smaller series.

Comparison with Other Methods

Compared to traditional screen printing, DTF offers greater flexibility for smaller orders and more detailed designs. Compared to DTG (Direct to Garment) printing, DTF has the advantage of being able to print on a wider range of materials.

DTF printing represents a significant advancement in textile printing, combining quality, versatility, and efficiency, making it an attractive choice for many printers and customers.
